Globalization and Environmental Change - 1812 Words
Globalization and Environmental Change Introduction Globalization, described as the expansion, intensification and acceleration of global interconnectedness, is one of the intense phenomena that the contemporary era has experienced. It has influenced the monetary, ecological, and societal characteristics of all the nations of the world. Due to both positive and negative consequences on the life of the citizens the world over, globalization is one of the most talked about issue of this century (Javed 2004). Globalization is a continuing and very controlling process. It has now become more or less a natural happening and is not going to stop. Though it has benefitted the world in numerous ways, globalization is also hurting the world frighteningly in a very theatrical way (Samli 2002). It is evident from the fact that the well-organized and increasing human exploitation of the natural resources obtained from the earth outlines the foundation for the scientific assertion that the world is about to experience a mass extinction every bit as great as that which destroyed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago (Hedley 2002). It simply means that the humanity is facing global environmental change as one of the most important challenges as a consequence of globalization. With the increase in globalization, the environmental issues are also growing constantly. At the end of the MAP fall test, I shared the test results with the classroom teachers and admin. The admin team also had one on one meeting with some of the teachers to talk about the projected goals and how we can help them to achieve these goals. After the spring test, I gathered the results in order to compare the growth between fall term and spring term in 2016-2017 school year. The tests results clearly show that 2nd and 4th grade students struggled with both subjects reading and math. 3rd grade and 6th grade students did not have a good year in Math. Overall all students in 3-8 grades did well in science except K-2 and 9 grade students because they did not take the test (see Appendix A for more information on The Percentage of Students who Met or Exceeded their Projected RIT). I combined all of the test results by teacher, classroom in order to have a deeper understanding of the results in teacher and classroom level. I took the average of The Percentage of Students who met or Exceeded their Projected RIT for each teacher. I sorted teachers by their performance and presented it to the admin team (see Appendix B for more information on the teacher performance). Based on the research, I have taken JW Marriott as the hotel based on NYC market in New York. Now, the question talks about the ideas in analyzing the research base on this case study. It was little difficult to cite information from JW Marriott. Talking about JW Marriott position, it has made an occasion on the exotic destinations around the world. JW Marriott has also a global brand luxury on its beautiful resorts and hotels. JW Marriott properties provide an influence on the modern residential design, exceptional amenities and culinary devices. JW Marriotts service has an approach that offers a differentiated strategy on hotel brands and other service gaps. While conducting the research, I found difficult to find the sources on the relevant areas provided in this study. Through the research study, at first I could not think which hotel would be best to conduct this research study. Hence, researching effectively through online sources and other references/websites, I found that JW Marriott Hotel, New York was convenient to make an empirical understanding in this study. Since most information was not easily gettable. Thus, my approach was to go thoroughly about the website of JW Marriott Essex house, New York. I found my experience by looking at the details of the hotel. In that website, I configured a new outlook in this research study. Information was relevant about services amenities, guest room information, fitness and recreation, business services and other accessible services. Hence, in that sense first I found the general manager of JW Marriott, then its location, number of rooms and suites, banquet meeting space and number of restaurants. Moreover, through other sources, I found the current yearly occupancy, average daily rate, yearly average daily rate and average daily occupancy. Therefore, it was some way easy to conduct this research but a little difficult to find accessible information. As stated in the previous answer that JW Marriott Essex house, New York website was best suited for me to obtain information in this research study. Since this study is based on researching information of Hospitality industry, my aim was persistent to make an analytical framework based on JW Marriott Essex house, New York. I found at first difficulty that how I could get all information about this hotel. Then, I researched the online sites and found the website of JW Marriott Essex house, New York. It was best suited for me to access information about its structure and portfolio. My objective was to get information from a website that would give relevant ideas about this study. At first, I found the location of the hotel, and then I found information about room structure. On the other panel, I found necessary information about the type of beds, its guest amenities, type of diversity made between the guests and at last the banquet meeting service. Hence, this website was helpful for m e to get necessary information about the topic. The question gives me a fair chance to work with the individual property in future. Since I played a role of a simple researcher who would research online, get information, and make the work in an effective manner. If my works suits the observer, I would definitely plan to work with the individual about this subject or any other topic. As I have represented all my ideas and concepts in this research study to make the work effective. Thus, I would be privileged if the individual likes my research work and gives a good feedback. More importantly, I would avail ideas that make my course of work with good interpretation results and analysis. Conclusion: The research concludes a good survey on the chosen hotel industry that is JW Marriott Essex House, New York. Here, various ideas are demonstrated to provide details of the hotel through its location, organizational chart, guest amenities, etc. However, with deliberate questions, a reflective report is produced relatively.
